Churches

Since we started at our church last summer things there have changed. For 1 they used to only have a piano play every week for their music. Now they have a Band! Kevin plays the guitar & sings, Adam plays the drums, Sharon is still on the piano, and the newest member is.........Gunnar!! He started playing the tambourine & maracas this past week. He did so good, he was on beat and sounded like he done it a million times. I guess he takes after his daddy and is a natural. I was so proud of him I had to catch him in action!
I love our church but there isn't a lot of younger kids so they don't have any programs during the week for them. And since Gunnar switched to the public school I was wanting to get him into a bible school through the week. We were told about a program all 3 kids could go to at Providence in Montgomery. I was a little nervous just showing up on Wed not knowing anyone or have never been there, but everyone was so friendly and welcomed us. After a couple minutes a girl walked up and said "This must be Gunnar, Lily, & Molly". She said it like she already knew them. I said yes and introduced myself and she introduced herself as "Greta, Shannon's friend" Immediately my heart was at ease. I never met her before but I knew my sister in law always spoke so fondly of her and they were good friends. Greta was one of Molly's teachers for her class which was great because she was the one I was most worried about leaving. And so happen Tera Knepp who told us about the program was the other teacher for Molly. So I felt God was really helping me in leaving them at a place I didn't know much about. The girls had a wonderful time and want to go back. Gunnar said he didn't like it and as of this week doesn't want to go back(but he's 5 and his mind changes daily). I pray God does change his heart because he was the one I really wanted to get in there. So we'll see. But I'm so thankful for all the kindness from the people at providence, especially Tera & Greta!

It was nice finally getting to meet you & the kids! Molly was adorable. She wore a bright smile the entire time! And, btw, thanks for referring to me as a "girl"!! You just made this 30-yr-old's day!!
